OUR STORY
Established in November 2015 by two secondary school teachers, The Real Ale Classroom was Leicester’s first micropub.
Ian and Steve, of the Real Ale Classroom say: "We had done our time in education and were very much ready to do something different, so we swapped a life in one classroom for a new start in another significantly different Classroom!

It has been quite a steep learning experience, but our passion for what we do has resulted in our popular, award winning micro pub. We love educating people about the drinks we offer and as in our previous lives, are very keen that all who visit our Classroom have an enjoyable and rewarding experience."
A micropub according to the Micropub Association is defined as:

"A micropub is a small freehouse which listens to its customers, mainly serves cask ales, promotes conversation, shuns all forms of electronic entertainment and dabbles in traditional pub snacks."
